Antelope Canyon is located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona. There are two distinct areas : Upper Antelope Canyon - The Crack and Lower Antelope Canyon - The Corkscrew. The canyons were formed by erosion of the Navajo sandstone mainly by flash flooding and to some extent by wind, making the slot canyons deeper and smoothing hard edges in such a way as to form the 'flowing' shapes in the rock. These photos were taken around noon allowing the capture of light beams streaming down the slots, while hiking Upper Antelope Canyon.
